New Variation without New Diagram

GW 2.3.48. When I insert a new variation, automatically GW starts the variation with a new diagram. Usually, I find this useful. However, there are times when I prefer the variation to be without diagram node; in SGF this variation is still empty (;). Currently, I need to remove each diagram "node" of each new variation manually. Is there an option so that each currently added new variation is (still) without diagram node and without FG and PM properties?
